Sportcarriere is assisting his international client in the recruitment of a Health & Safety Coordinator for a major sport event happening in France this summer.

The safety of our staff, stakeholders and spectators is paramount, therefore the project administration to co-ordinate our health and safety team is critical to maintain project momentum. Your role is vital to underpin the functions of the project.

Our client is currently looking for a H&S coordinator to enable the successful delivery of the Look, Signage and Wayfinding project for our client across all venues (competition and non- competition) as designed by the stakeholders.

Functions & Responsibilities
  • Provide a core resource for the co-ordination of the project Health and Safety.
  • Working with our internal H&S team and external advisors to provide administrative support to ensure the documentation is completed and presented on time.
  • Liaison with the client’s operations and venue teams to understand required schedule to present the correct documentation.
  • Provide support and solutions to assist with the co-ordination of the team.
  • Input into the operations team for practical requirements relating to H&S.
  • Working alongside the programme manager to manage the resourcing and tasking of the core PM team.
  • Assist all internal functions (venues, programme, ops, production) as requested
  • Understand the risks and manage a risk register within your “sphere of influence” to enable the wider team to mitigate those risks.
  • Health and Safety expertise and specialist advice will be provided by our in-house team in the UK and consultants.
Profile requirements
  • A curiosity to provide practical solutions to the challenges of event Health and Safety.
  • Be enthusiastic and curious to help “get things done” and join in.
  • Be proactive and solution focused.
  • Direct work experience in a project management capacity or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in people management, including leadership, delegation and influencing.
  • Good planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and think logically and methodically.
  • A “hands on” “can do” attitude with an ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially in Microsoft Excel) and Smartsheet proficiency.
  • Health and Safety qualifications would be advantageous.
  • Spoke French useful but not essential.

Contract type : Temporary Contract Ending 13.09.2024 – Full Time
Location : Saint-Denis (Paris region)
Starting date : ASAP
Salary : Depending on the profile + a 10% completion bonus – An accomodation in downtown Paris will be provided for residents living outside the Paris region
