Sportcarriere is assisting On Location in the recruitment of a Culinary Director on fixed-term contract.

Last summer, On Location and the International Olympic Committee have signed an historic long-term agreement that includes all editions of the Olympic and Paralympic Games until 2028.

On Location, has then become the exclusive provider for the official hospitality products of the Games at Paris 2024, Milano Cortina 2026 and Los Angeles 2028.

Designed in collaboration with the Organizing Committee of each Host City, the Olympic and Paralympic hospitality products will provide a one-of-a-kind window into these world-renowned locations. Packages will include tickets, accommodations, experiences and unique hospitality offers at the heart of the Games and the hosting city.

It is from this perspective that On Location is currently building its Parisian team in order to work on the hospitality programs of the Games hand to hand with Paris 2024 OCOG.


Culinary Director is a key role with a primary responsibility for developing and executing culinary logistics and operations plans for On Location’s in venue and off venue hospitality programs for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games. This role will work closely with Paris 2024 Catering and Sustainability team to deliver the Food Vision, Safety and Security of the Games.

Functions and responsibilities
  • Work alongside procurement, production and logistic teams to develop, refine and finalize overall culinary vision, including all guest facing food and beverage served within On Location’s in venue and off venue hospitality locations ;
  • Management of approved F&B budgets ;
  • Ensure vendor compliance with nutrition and sanitation regulations, traceability, sourcing and safety standards ;
  • Oversee logistics and layouts for F&B service points throughout the venues ;
  • Management of F&B process (if applicable) including vetting of potential catering respondents, RFP document review and communication flow ;
  • Oversee the design and successful execution of a full operations F&B plan with a focus on sustainable catering ;
  • Oversee F&B presentation aesthetics ;
  • Oversee staff recruitment and voluntary staff sourced via the catering schools in Paris and its region ;
  • Review and approve vendor staffing plans ;
  • Develop and manage a detailed F&B run of show, including in/out and coursing ;
  • Orchestrate menu tasting according to milestones ;
  • Meet regularly with catering and beverage vendors and act as an intermediary for items related to the overall F&B program ;
  • Gather, track and report on KPIs related to Paris 2024 commitments for the Games ;
  • Construct menus with new or existing French culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings as specified within the Paris 2024 Food Vision HJ I don’t think he/she will be constructing the menus but he/she will give guidance to OL partners/vendors to ensure compliance.
Profile requirements
  • Minimum of 10+ years in the food service industry ;
  • Extensive kitchen operations, business, and culinary knowledge ;
  • Speaks fluent French and English; other languages encouraged ;
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills ;
  • Highly organized and process-oriented ;
  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm in high-pressure situations ;
  • Strong knowledge of health codes and food safety ;
  • Presently resides in France (or is willing to relocate to France) ;
  • Prior education at a culinary institute or hospitality school ;
  • Experience with large-scale culinary events in France, including network of local vendors ;
  • Expertise in consumer food trends and sustainable practices ;
  • Credentials in health and safety training ;
  • Flexibility and positive attitude to work long days, evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary ;
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn software.
