The Stade Lorrain Université Club Nancy Basket, also known as SLUC Nancy Basketball, is a French basketball club in the city of Nancy. The club is named the “Cougars”
The club was founded in 1967 and has evolved to win the France Pro B Championship. The club calls the Palais des Sports Jean-Weille its home; an arena with 6,027 seats located in the Gentilly quarter of Nancy.
As SLUC Nancy has evolved so has its fan following; each year the number of spectators grows and currently the average game attendance is 5,000 spectators over the entire season.
SLUC Nancy has won the French Basketball Championship two times in 2008 and 2011, appeared twice in the Champions Match also in 2008 and 2011, one time champion of the France Pro B League in 1994 and winner of the Semaine des As in 2005. SLUC Nancy is also the last French club to win the Coupe Korać in 2002.
