LeTROT is the Society of Horse Breeding in France, created in 1864 with the aim of organizing and cultivating the development of trotting races in France as well as specifically protecting the breed of the French Trotter lineage.
With an average of 1,750 races organized per year at 238 different racetracks and nearly 140,000 horses competing for upwards of 10,100 races; the French Horse Encouragement Society is one of the most influential organizers of sports events in France.
LeTROT is also a direct manager of several sites:
- 4 racetracks: Vincennes Hippodrome of Paris, Enghien, Caen and Cabourg
- 1 training facility: Grosbois
